Caroline Ryan is a painter living and working in Houston, TX. She has a BFA in Painting, a BS in Psychology, and a Minor in Art History from the University of Houston. Ryan's work consists of mainly figurative work done using acrylic paint, gouache and watercolor. Working from memory, photography, and observation, Ryan creates diaristic work that focuses on people whom she shares a significant relationship with. Despite her work being deeply personal, it simultaneously reflects experiences that are collectively shared.
